Happy Monday!

So, as the holidays are only a few days away… it’s insane! Where did this year go?

But seriously, many of us feel like we can take off the next two weeks because we were consistent throughout the whole year or that we just want to spend it with our family. If this is you, make it active rest days! Don’t lose your groove.

However, if you’re like me and raced this past weekend and decided you still had to do your long run and now you’re tight just about everywhere, some yoga would be really nice to start off your morning or just end your day. Or anywhere in between, really.

In the last 20 days I’ve grown fond of yoga and I’ve learned my favorite is yin yoga so far. It’s definitely helped stretch out my muscles and I believe it’s part of the reason why I’m still running without going to therapy (not by choice, but economic reasons.)

I found a nice article from Run to the Finish on stretches for the IT band using yoga. Now, I’m not suffering from anything, but I have had this injury before so I always try to find new ways to stretch it.
